Real Madrid think player Tottenham signed for £39m is now one of the best in the world
Tottenham Hotspur defender Pedro Porro has been going from strength to strength at N17.
The 24-year-old originally signed a permanent deal with Spurs for £39 million in the summer after initially joining on loan from Sporting Lisbon in January.
Porro needed some time to settle in at Tottenham, but he’s already flying high in the daring attire of Ange Postecoglou.
With 15 Premier League games this season, the Spain international has six assists, four of which have come in the previous five Spurs games.
According to a Bernabeu Digital report, Real Madrid is getting more and more devastated over losing out on Porro to Tottenham this season.
For the “not very high amount” that Spurs ultimately paid for the player, it seems that they were eager to sign him.
But the Real board allowed Tottenham to continue as they were content with Dani Carvajal and Lucas Vazquez.
allowing Tottenham to move in and secure Porro instead.
That’s worked out well for Spurs, as he has now become ‘one of the best right-backs in the world’, according to BD.
They say his performances for Tottenham have been ‘spectacular’, which is especially impressive as he’s ‘not in one of the best clubs in Europe’.
And crucially, it doesn’t look like Los Blancos will be trying for Porro anytime soon. They reportedly feel a move for him now is ‘a thing of the past’.
Spurs hit gold with Pedro Porro and other outstanding players.
Tottenham has undoubtedly had a lot of success in recent years.
In addition to acquiring Porro, Spurs also had great success in acquiring players like Pape Matar Sarr and Destiny Udogie.
As we’ve seen in recent weeks with the injury issue, there will definitely be some hiccups along the way, but Ange Postecoglou is creating something truly unique at N17.
