Jimmy Butler Pokes Fun At His And Nikola Jovic’s Suspension With Latest Instagram Post
News broke on Sunday afternoon that Miami Heat forwards Jimmy Butler and Nikola Jovic are suspended for one game due to their involvement in the altercations in Friday’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans.
Butler was quick to respond to the suspension on social media with hilarious memes. The most recent example is an Instagram post that places the faces of Butler and Jovic on a poster for the 1995 motion picture “Bad Boys.” Additionally, he shared several Instagram stories with songs like Kanye West’s “Jail” and Akon’s “Locked Up” that made fun of the circumstances.
Before being sent out in Friday’s game, the 34-year-old star was lights out, finishing with 23 points, nine rebounds, six assists, and three steals on 7 of 12 shooting. Bam Adebayo, the center, had a fantastic fourth quarter to help the Heat win, 106-95.
Furthermore, Pelicans guard Jose Alvarado and Heat big man Thomas Bryant have each received three-game unpaid suspensions for fighting and fleeing the bench area during an on-court argument.
With 11:19 left in the fourth quarter, Miami’s Kevin Love fouled New Orleans’ Zion Williamson, setting off the incident. After that foul, there was a physical altercation between Butler and Naji Marshall of the Pelicans, and Bryant and Alvarado then started fighting. Alvarado, Bryant, Butler, and Marshall were called for technical fouls and removed from the game due to their involvement.
Due to numerous suspensions and injuries, the Heat could lose against the Sacramento Kings by a significant margin on Monday.
