College Football Fans Plead for Pop-Tarts Bowl EA Sports Video Game Cover
Aside from coach Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines remaining undefeated and claiming the 2024 The Pop-Tarts Bowl and its edible mascot were perhaps the biggest winners of college football bowl season, along with the national title.
Many fans are hoping to see the Pop-Tarts Bowl mascot on the cover of EA Sports’ college football video game, which is set to launch this summer, according to recent news.
Trey Morten, a graphic designer from Tennessee, made a cover mock-up that was posted on social media:
Absolutely electric.
The Pop-Tarts Bowl, sponsored by Kellogg’s and formerly named the Cheez-It Bowl, resulted in the Kansas State Wildcats defeating the N.C. State Wolfpack 28–19 on Dec. 23.
The real show started after the game, however.
The game’s mascot, a giant Strawberry Pop-Tart, climbed atop of a massive toaster on the field and waved goodbye to the fans at Camping World Stadium.
The mascot disappeared into the toaster, and out popped a legitimately edible Pop-Tart “mascot” that was devoured by the victorious Wildcats.
And that, folks, is what college football is all about.
As fans dream of building a new college football dynasty at some obscure program in EA Sports College Football 25, many are pleading to do so with the beloved Pop-Tarts Bowl mascot on the cover:
