Tottenham are now ready to go all out to sign 21-year-old midfield ‘destroyer’
Tottenham Hotspur have now been linked with a move to sign Ezequiel Fernandez from Boca Juniors this summer.
It’s practically a given that Spurs will add a new midfield player before the next campaign begins. Spurs are reportedly interested in James Garner, and Conor Gallagher has been strongly linked. The most recent name to emerge from the rumor mill is Fernandez.
Tottenham want to sign Ezequiel Fernandez
Top-tier young players have historically emerged from South America, and Ezequiel Fernandez of Argentina may be the next big thing.
For the previous two months, the 21-year-old has been in the news. Arsenal was reportedly interested in signing him last month, while Liverpool has also been linked to a deal to sign him.
Tottenham is now considering him.
According to Boca Noticias, the Spurs are keen to sign Fernandez in the summer.
According to reports, Ange Postecoglou’s team is prepared to go above and beyond to sign him, just as they did with Valentin Barco, who ultimately chose to sign with Brighton last month.
Being one of their important players, Fernandez is not someone Boca Juniors is eager to let go of. But this summer, the young player will enter the last 18 months of his contract; if a good offer is made, they will probably let him leave.
Alexis Mac Allister is a big fan of Tottenham-linked Fernandez
In Argentina, Ezequiel Fernandez has gained widespread recognition following some outstanding performances for Boca Juniors.
Anfield Index called the 21-year-old a “destroyer” of the midfield in their scouting report from November of last year, demonstrating his immense talent.
The star of Liverpool, Alexis Mac Allister, has expressed his admiration for Fernandez in public and is a tremendous fan as well.
“If you ask me a little more about my style, there is a player that I really like and that is Equi Fernández,” Mac Allister said to TyC Sports last year while he was still a player for Brighton. He is a player who, in my opinion, has every opportunity to travel to Europe in the future.
He is a really good player who has a great understanding of the game. He can play as an inside player or as a five because he can play with both legs and is always ready to receive the ball. He’s a player with some excellent circumstances, and if Brighton asked, I would mention his name.
