Sad news: Tottenham on the verge of losing an amazing deal

Ange Postecoglou assesses Tottenham’s prospects of acquiring Conor Gallagher prior to the deadline.

Tottenham’s expectations for the remaining days of the January transfer window have been discussed by Ange Postecoglou.

According to Ange Postecoglou, it is “unlikely” that Tottenham will add any more players this month. This week, Spurs have been strongly linked to Chelsea playmaker Conor Gallagher; but, there doesn’t seem to be much hope that they can come to an understanding with their London rivals.

Being one of the busiest Premier League teams during the transfer window this month, Tottenham has rewarded Postecoglou for leading his team to such a successful start to the season.

Spurs took advantage of Manchester United’s attempt to sign Timo Werner in order to reinforce their attacking ranks. The former Chelsea striker decided to move to North London on a loan-to-buy agreement because Tottenham wanted to assist the Germany international in resuming his career and establishing himself in the English league.

After that, Postecoglou addressed his lack of defensive depth by signing Radu Dragusin from Genoa. By doing so, he was able to thwart Bayern Munich’s attempts to sign the Romanian international for a £25 million contract.

According to reports, Spurs’ spending binge is showing no signs of abating in the last days of the transfer window. It was also reported that Totternham’s higher authorities were thinking of rekindling their interest in Chelsea’s Gallagher, a playmaker.

Speaking ahead of his team’s Wednesday night game against Brentford, Postecoglou seemed to downplay his prospects of obtaining the England international or any additional reinforcements. When asked if he anticipated any more incomings or outgoings, he said, “I’d say unlikely.” None that I can see coming in.

“My extroversion differs slightly from mine since I’m not as invested in that. I’d say it’s also doubtful that others are coping with that.”
