Huge West Ham boost: Sullivan confidant claims teenage attacker now close to signing new deal
It seems as though one of West Ham United’s best young players is now close to signing a new contract.
West Ham have a whole host of talented young players currently at the club, and the fans should be hugely excited about what the future holds.
One of the best Hammers youngsters is Divin Mubama. The 19-year-old hitman is a truly elite talent, so it was hugely concerning when he rejected a recent contract offer from the club.
Given that Mubama has only played 25 minutes this season under David Moyes, it makes sense that the young striker would have declined the club’s offer.
Although negotiations between Obama and West Ham remain stagnant, there is more positive news regarding one of our gifted teenagers.
This season, Callum Marshall has been Steve Potts’ team’s standout performer and has been absolutely on fire for the under-21s.
The 18-year-old has was called up to the Northern Ireland national team squad as well recently, and I think it’s clear to see that we have a future superstar on our hands at the London Stadium.
With that in mind, a claim suggesting that he is close to signing a new deal with the Hammers is hugely satisfying…
West Ham youngster close to signing new contract
According to Claret and Hugh, a website closely associated with David Sullivan, Marshall is almost ready to sign a new contract with the Hammers.
The sooner West Ham can conclude this matter, the better, as Marshall is among the best young strikers in the game.
With 14 goals in nine games this season, he has been in outstanding form for the under-21s (Transfermarkt).
The 18-year-old is a fantastic finisher when given the chance to score goals; he can play anywhere along the front line and has very impressive pace and movement.
Watching Marshall play at the youth level makes it evident that he possesses a unique quality.
In addition to all of his other attributes, the young Northern Irishman works extremely hard and has a very mature head on his shoulders.
In light of this, everyone connected to West Ham is thrilled that he is on the verge of inking a new contract.
