Ange Postecoglou give definite update on Richardlison availability against Sheffield United
Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that Richarlison will be part of Tottenham’s matchday squad against Sheffield United this afternoon.
The Brazilian has had a rough start to the year after receiving a lot of criticism for his inability to score in his first few Premier League appearances (talkSPORT).
He struggled for the Selecao in their World Cup qualifying matches against Bolivia and Peru, and his troubles persisted into the international break.
In the former, Richarlison lost a golden opportunity and was later spotted sobbing on the bench. The Tottenham player recently confessed that his feelings were related to personal matters off the field and that he intends to get “psychological help” (Globo Esporte).
In his news conference on Friday, Postecoglou acknowledged that despite their success, football players can still experience mental health issues and said the Spurs staff will provide the 26-year-old with the support he needs.
Richarlison gets Postecoglou backing for Sheffield United match
The former Everton player will take part in the match against the Blades, the Tottenham head coach has revealed.
Richarlison will be involved, Postecoglou responded when questioned about his availability for his afternoon match (via Charlie Eccleshare). He worked out today (Friday), and he appears fine.

Richarlison himself, in my opinion, would have wanted to play against Sheffield United. Postecoglou and the team would have been more than happy to give the forward a vacation if he felt like he needed one.
