Lo Celso has only made one appearance this season, which came against Bournemouth. He wasn’t included in the squad for the most recent game against Burnley because of an injury.
Now it appears that the damage is still having an impact on him. Despite his limited playing time this year, the manager needs a group that is all healthy.
In this competition, squad depth is crucial, so Postecoglou will be devastated to not have the 27-year-old available for selection.
Lo Celso will be hoping to be available for the game the following week, but for the time being it appears that he will have to watch from the sidelines.
The good news is that because he has been working out, he should be able to rejoin the Spurs team as soon as possible.
