Tottenham have just accepted offer for 26-year-old, move is now up to him
Genoa of Serie A and Tottenham Hotspur have now agreed to Tanguy Ndombele’s loan transfer.
The newest information about the future of the 26-year-old was provided by journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Tottenham still has a little more than 48 hours to offload a number of players off their roster.
The current size of Ange Postecoglou’s team is an issue, and yesterday’s outcome makes matters worse.
Tottenham had the option to give unproven players a chance to play in the Carabao Cup.
Postecoglou will be hesitant to rotate in the Premier League because there will be no European football this season.
However, a loss to Fulham in a penalty shootout has ended their chances of contending for that trophy.
There will also be some worried players in the squad who realise that might be their last chance to start a game for some time.
Tanguy Ndombele is one player that Genoa is attempting to wrest from Tottenham’s control.
The Frenchman wasn’t in the team yesterday because Postecoglou doesn’t have any intentions for him.
He’s one of the highest-paid players in the team, therefore Spurs need to decide on his future as soon as feasible.
Genoa reach agreement with Tottenham for Ndombele
On Wednesday morning, Romano announced on social media that Genoa and Tottenham had struck a deal for Tanguy Ndombele to join them on a temporary basis.
Genoa is currently trying to persuade the player.
Spurs want to find a solution for Ndombele by Friday, but the player must now take responsibility after Genoa gave it their all.
Ndombele may be difficult to persuade to leave Tottenham and join Genoa this summer.
He won Serie A last season with Napoli although he was mainly used off the bench.
It might not be very tempting to then move down to an Italian mid-table team.
He’ll probably get a lot more playing time for Genoa than he did at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, though.
Ndombele will be persuaded to transfer to Genoa at any costs by Tottenham.
He’s already scoffed at other potential transfers this summer, but this one might be more alluring.
If a loan transfer occurs, it will cause irritation that Spurs have once again failed to sell Ndombele.
