Perfect Dyche replacement: Everton player gives secret update on Next manager appointment
What some Everton players privately ‘sneered’ about behind Sean Dyche’s back prior to his sacking
Many will be happy Sean Dyche will no longer be the Everton manager but it wasn’t exactly a walk in the park.
It’s been a whirlwind couple of days at Everton as The Friedkin Group sacked Everton boss Sean Dyche.
A prospect that looked inevitable and has been welcomed by Everton supporters.
Bournemouth fans were mocking Everton in what turned out to be Dyche’s last game as manager which cemented a real loss in the dressing room.
Fans will point the blame on the former Everton boss, but the players didn’t exactly make it the best environment for Dyche.

Everton players created ‘poisonous’ atmosphere for Sean Dyche
It became quite apparent this whole situation has been handled quite badly, the Everton players found out about Dyche’s sacking in a pre-match meeting so that says it all really.
However, you wouldn’t have put it past the group to show a slight hint of uplift at the Dyche sacking after a recent report.
According to the MailOnline, Everton players apparently didn’t treat Dyche with much respect at all.
Privately they ‘sneered’ at Dyche’s way of taking the blame for losses but taking the credit for the victories.
The behind-the-back whispering said it all and the atmosphere was close to ‘poisonous’ at Finch Farm.
Following Everton’s 6-0 drubbing to Chelsea in April, Dyche called out the Everton players in the pre-match presser, exclaiming that they think the club is in a ‘cycle’ and they want a new manager every year.
“It’s a fair question – and I have absolutely gone through this with the players. Is it now just a cycle that the club is in? Every year you want a new manager, you get a new manager, you get a bounce then six months later it’s: ‘Boo! We want him out!’ and you just keep doing that? Is that where we are at?”
This is now fairly accurate from Dyche…
Dyche did well at Everton considering the circumstances
Not many would’ve taken on the Everton job in the first place and although he didn’t provide results till the end, Dyche does deserve some sort of credit.
Many questioned Dyche’s style of play with Jamie Carragher seeing Everton as a ‘throwback’ after their route one, set-piece-reliant football, which is a fair accusation after Everton’s horrid form in the Premier League.

However, you can’t blame Dyche for the cards he was dealt, as for most of his tenure he did his job in succeeding with Everton staying up. Let alone keeping Everton up after a 10-point deduction in the Premier League.
The fact he even admitted himself he had reached his breaking point showed that he cared about Everton and wanted them to progress.
Taking into account how the players supposedly treated Dyche and Farhad Moshiri’s poor ownership, it’s a harsh reality to say Dyche failed at Everton.
