Doctor issues injury news on Tottenham midfielder

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder George Abbott is not going to return to training before January due to his injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The 18-year-old was sidelined for six weeks at the end of November after making his senior debut in the 4-1 victory over Leeds United the previous season.

His recovery, according to the injury expert, would require a variety of activities, such as increasing his strength and mobility.

Dr. Brar, a sports scientist and physical therapist, spoke exclusively with Todd News about Abbott’s condition of play. He stated: “His recovery will consist of methodically progressing his strength, mobility, and neuromuscular control while gradually increasing activity intensity and making it more sport-specific during the advanced stages.”

“If the schedule is roughly six weeks long, then would expect him back in full training around the five-week mark which is right into the new year.

“Nothing suggests he should not be ready before mid-January and right now, he will mainly be focused on rest and recovery currently.

“It is difficult to recommend the best course of action without knowing the specifics because the type of injury is not mentioned.”

Abbott joined Spurs when he was seven years old in 2012, and he has remained a member of the team ever since.

In addition to being a defensive midfielder, the Englishman can also play right back.

Even if the 18-year-old isn’t currently playing for Ange Postecoglou’s first team, the club’s medical staff still has to handle this ailment.

Until the new year, players like Manor Solomon, Micky van de Ven, James Maddison, Ivan Perisic, Rodrigo Bentancur, and Ryan Sessegnon are all out.

‘Huge’ – Newcastle United trio at risk of Premier League ban after Spurs incidents – key player out v Fulham

Due to Kieran Trippier’s suspension, Newcastle United will be playing with three players on a tight leash when they take on Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday (3pm kickoff).

In the Premier League, Sean Longstaff, Joelinton, and Jamaal Lascelles are only one booking away from a one-match suspension. During Sunday’s 4-1 loss to Tottenham Hotspur, Joelinton and Lascelles each received their fourth booking of the year. To avoid suspension, every player must refrain from receiving a yellow card in the three forthcoming league games against Nottingham Forest, Fulham, and Luton Town.

Trippier was shown his fifth yellow card of the league season at Spurs and handed a one-match suspension in the Premier League which he will serve against Fulham. Any player shown five bookings in the opening 19 league matches is banned for one match.

“It’s a huge blow for us, Kieran is a standard for us really to get a level of consistent performance,” Howe said to The Gazette in response to Trippier’s ban. His quality will be missed.

It’s hard to ignore him when he’s a weekly member of your greatest offensive threat. He still had his moments today, especially in the second half, when he made some very excellent crosses.

“He’s just an outstanding technician and we will certainly miss him against Fulham.”

The 33-year-old is the third player from Newcastle to get a suspension in the Premier League this year, following the five-bookings of Anthony Gordon and Bruno Guimaraes. Gordon did not play in the 2-2 draw against West Ham United, and Guimaraes did not play in the 2-0 loss at AFC Bournemouth.

The right-back is the third Newcastle player to pick up such a suspension this season after Anthony Gordon and Bruno Guimaraes. The Fulham match will be Trippier’s first time out of United’s starting line-up in the Premier League since the start of last season.

On the booking front, Fabian Schar, Dan Burn and Sandro Tonali have two bookings. Tonali is currently suspended for betting offences but Burn and Schar could face a suspension if they were to be booked in all three of Newcastle’s final league matches before the end of 2023.

Miguel Almiron, Harvey Barnes, Sven Botman, Tino Livramento, Matt Ritchie, Matt Targett and Callum Wilson all have one Premier League booking each.
