Jermaine Jenas predicts Spurs star will be the biggest thing since Harry Kane in N17

Jermaine Jenas has backed James Maddison to eventually go down as the second-best player in Tottenham’s modern history after Harry Kane.

Jenas did a segment for Mail Sport where he had to pick an eleven between his former Tottenham teammates and the current Spurs team.

The commentator was faced with a number of tough decisions, not the least of which was choose between Madison and Robbie Keane.

While Maddison has excelled at the North London club right away and appears to be a step above any midfielder the team has had since Christian Eriksen, Keane is one of the team’s greatest Premier League superstars.

In addition to his 132 goals over his two stints at White Hart Lane, the Irishman was a creative force who frequently dropped into the hole and forged outstanding partnerships with players like Jermain Defoe and Dimitar Berbatov.

How high can James Maddison go with Tottenham?

While acknowledging that Maddison is quickly becoming a legend for the squad, Jenas offered his old Tottenham comrade the benefit of the doubt.
