‘That’s what I want’: Tottenham transfer target drops strong hint ahead of move in January

Kalvin Phillips has been outside looking in at Manchester City despite the suspension of Rodri.

He admits his involvement with the treble winners. He will have to decide since Manchester City is not perfect and because the Lilywhites are really interested in him.

After England defeated Italy to clinch qualifying for the 2019 European Championship, he said to reporters, “I know that I need to be playing games and competing every weekend.Over the upcoming months, I’ll have to decide what [my future] will be. Gareth Southgate merely asserts that I must be playing games in order to maintain my position. I wish to go in that direction. On that, I concur with Gareth.

The 27-year-old has been linked to Everton, Newcastle United, West Ham, and Bayern Munich, but the Telegraph reports that Tottenham’s new technical director, Johan Lange, is a huge fan of the former Leeds United player and will make a bid for him when the transfer window opens in January.

Spurs have had a brilliant campaign so far but will be losing two of their starting midfielders Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr will be away for close to a month in January for the Africa Cup of Nations.

Rodrigo Bentancur who made a great impression has been out since injuring to his knee and it remains to be seen how his form will be like when he eventually returns to the field having been out since February.

£13m player who Postecoglou sold admits he really struggled during his time with Tottenham

Davinson Sanchez has now briefly opened up on his time at Tottenham Hotspur when away with Colombia in the last few days.

After Colombia’s 0-0 draw with Ecuador last night, Sanchez was addressing to the media and defending his teammate Luiz Diaz.

The Liverpool forward, who after recent mishaps is now quite familiar with Tottenham, missed a penalty for Colombia during the encounter.

And Sanchez jumped in to defend the forward, bringing up some difficult times in his own career.

There is no need to hide anything, ‘Lucho’ has been accomplishing extremely important things in England,’ Sanchez told Gol.

“I suffered a lot while I was at Tottenham, but in some way it is to relieve that pressure that has been placed on him indirectly,” he said.

Naturally, viewers must assume that Sanchez briefly alluded to losing his position under Ange Postecoglou this season.

And although Colombia’s Sanchez has consistently made appearances in and out of the Tottenham XI throughout the years, he has had some good performances.

But it soon became obvious that the defender wasn’t essential to Ange’s strategy.

Sanchez will have learnt a lot from his days at Tottenham

Of course, Sanchez is now enjoying the early days of his fresh start in Turkey after a £13m move to Galatasaray.

The centre-back should prove to be a key figure for the side playing alongside the likes of Tanguy Ndombele and Wilfried Zaha.

And while Sanchez may look back on his time at Tottenham with some sorrow, he can now relish playing a key role once more.

If the former Spurs player decides to speak publicly again in the future, it will undoubtedly be fascinating to hear him talk more about his time there.

However, Tottenham is currently establishing a stellar center-back pairing.

Micky van de Ven seemed to be improving with each game.

Although he has also been dominant, Tottenham will now have to worry about Cristian Romero’s fitness.
