‘He got it wrong’: Ian Wright blast Nottingham Forest players on his remark on their loss
Ian Wright questions Nuno as he makes ‘very strange’ Nottingham Forest remark
On Match of the Day, there were concerns raised over Nuno’s choice to substitute Moussa Niakhate for the injured Nuno Tavares during Nottingham Forest’s loss to Aston Villa.
Ian Wright, a pundit, called Nuno’s choice to select center-back Niakhate over Tavares in left defense rather than Harry Toffolo a “strange decision.” He referred to Forest’s 4-2 Premier League loss at Villa Park as “sloppy” defense.
Host Gary Lineker commented, “Forest have struggled on their travels haven’t they,” after the loss. They’ll probably find some solace in the fact that they were able to tie the game at three after falling behind 3-2.
Wright retorted, “Yeah, but when you look at how they gave away the fourth goal, which was really sloppy and the decisive goal for me.”
“Those are the two teams. There are two types of forests: the careless and foolish Forest, and the aggressive, focused, and clinical Forest.
Furthermore, observe how they let up that fourth goal. I found it really peculiar that Toffolo, the left-back, was playing a center half in place of him today.
“In the end, there were just too many mistakes. They act incoherently too much.
