Good news:€100m player to sign for Tottenham with contract until 2029
We already discussed several Italian rumors that explained why Tottenham Hotspur is leading the fight for Radu Drăgușin of Genoa, even after Bayern Munich entered the fray.
It was also reported that the Serie A team has received an official offer from the North London club, and they are inclined to take it.
Journalist Florian Plettenberg of Sky Deutschland used X, formerly Twitter, to provide the defense an update on the match between Tottenham and Bayern.
He claims that “this morning,” Ange Postecoglou’s team and Genoa “reached a full agreement” for the 21-year-old’s transfer.
The journalist also says that Genoa has accepted Spurs’ offer of €25 million with bonuses, and the Romanian international will sign a contract with them that will last until 2029.
As of right now, the Bundesliga winners have not made any formal offers. Plettenberg thinks that if the Bavarian club wants to retain his services, they would need to move quickly today. If not, Drăgușin is expected to sign a contract with Tottenham that runs until 2029.
According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Genoa awaited Bayern’s offer, which hasn’t materialized yet. As a result, they have chosen to move forward with Spurs.
Bayern’s interest seems to have had the desired effect and put pressure on Tottenham, whether or not it was sincere.
“Special information” £20 million Tottenham player has decided to go on loan this month, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Although Spurs had fierce competition from Bayern Munich in the end to sign Dragusin, it now appears that a deal is leaning in their favor.
Fabrizio Romano spoke with X this morning to clarify that, in contrast to Bayern, Tottenham has now submitted an official proposal for Dragusin to Genoa.
Romano also stated in his post that Spurs will be sending a player to Genoa on loan as a makeweight.
As per the deal, Djed Spence, who returned this month from his Leeds United loan, would now go to Genoa after failing to satisfy multiple Tottenham coaching staff members.
Following his arrival to Spurs in 2022, the £20 million defender will embark on his third loan.
On the fascinating update, Fabrizio Romano also claimed the scoop.
