Done Deal :Tottenham accepts huge offer from Saudi Arabia for player with verbal already reached.
Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is set to be of interest to clubs in Saudi Arabia again in the January transfer window.
For ten years, the Frenchman was among the first names on the roster at Spurs, but he hasn’t been given much of a chance since the summer arrival of Ange Postecoglou. Now, it will not be long until he departs from Tottenham.
Clubs in Saudi Arabia are circling to sign Hugo Lloris from Tottenham
Hugo Lloris joined Tottenham in the summer of 2012, having previously played for Olympique Lyon.
During his peak years at Spurs, the Frenchman was among the finest goalkeepers in Europe, and he was a major contributor to the team’s victories under Mauricio Pochettino.
Over the past few years, Lloris’ performance has steadily declined, and at the conclusion of the previous campaign, it was evident that Tottenham needed to sign an improvement.
Lloris needs to leave Tottenham
Hugo Lloris cannot return to Tottenham; that much is evident.
The Frenchman is so low in Ange Postecoglou’s pecking order that he cannot even be on the bench; Fraser Forster is ahead of him.
All parties would benefit from a move out in January, and we wouldn’t be shocked if Tottenham agreed to let him go for free in order to remove his £100,000-a-week salary (Spotrac) from the books for the following six months.
If Lloris does depart next month, it will be intriguing to see where he ends up as Newcastle United has also been connected with a desire to get him.
Guglielmo Vicario arrived, and the Italian has maybe been their best summer acquisition.
Lloris has not played a single minute since the beginning of this season as a result of it, and he has been dropped from the team.
January is probably when he moves out, and according to The Sun this week, ‘clubs in Saudi Arabia are beginning to circle’ to sign him when the window opens the following week.
