Injury update: Spur star make shock announcement on return date
Exciting news on Micky Van de Ven’s Spurs injury return timetable is provided by Spurs Web – Tottenham Hotspur Football News.
While Micky van de Ven is enjoying his victory over darts referee Russell Bray in a nine-darts match tonight, Tottenham supporters will be more intrigued to hear that the defender will return to training in the next two weeks.
After joining Ange Postecoglou’s team this summer from Wolfsburg, Van de Ven made a name for himself right away. He forged a solid defensive connection with Cristian Romero.
It is no accident that the Lilywhites went five games without winning while van de Ven was sidelined with an injury at the beginning of November. Sadly, Postecoglou’s squad has a weakness that has been brought to light by the young Dutchman’s injury.
Spurs supporters are nevertheless eager to see van de Ven return to action as soon as possible, even if Tottenham is currently anticipated to recruit a new center-back in the January transfer window to provide backup for this circumstance (Telegraph).
Van de Ven discloses his planned return date to training.
On that score, we have some positive news. The 22-year-old participated in a fun darts challenge this weekend on the Ally Pally stage, and not only did he win, but he also gave an update on his recuperation process.
The Spurs defender has stated (via Rob Maul) that he would return to training “within two weeks,” but he is expected to recuperate from his injury at some point in January.
In a nine-dart challenge that evening, Van de Ven also triumphed over retiring darts referee Russell Bray.
This boy, is there anything he can’t do? All kidding aside, though, it’s fantastic news that van de Ven will be returning to training shortly, and perhaps this terrible injury will finally come to an end. We will all be much more at ease together once he returns.
