Eagles receive brutal criticism from former NFL head coach
The Philadelphia Eagles are still among the league’s top contenders for the Super Bowl as we enter Week 14 of the 2023 NFL season. Even so, there are increasing doubts about the team’s future. After the Eagles’ humiliation at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers in Week 13, there are those who doubt the team’s legitimacy.
Although Jalen Hurts has performed admirably this season, the offense has not been as strong as it was the previous one. There appear to be numerous weaknesses in Philadelphia’s defense.
The Eagles have been the target of harsh criticism since their 49ers defeat. In Week 14, Sunday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys presents a chance for a big comeback; however, if they lose that game, the criticism will escalate.
Former NFL Coach Doesn’t Hold Back On Eagles
One vocal former head coach that has a major problem with the Eagles is Rex Ryan. He recently offered some brutal criticism for Philadelphia following their big loss in Week 13.
“That’s not a look of a Super Bowl team.”

How can the Eagles start to get the respect they deserved prior to Week 13 and turn things around? To be honest, they need the offense to make sense of things. Although Hurts and company have had some poor performances so far this season, the defense has played well most weeks.
The Eagles take on the scorching Cowboys in Week 14. As usual when these two NFC rivals play each other, the game will be difficult for both teams.
When these two teams met earlier in the season, the Eagles prevailed 28–23 in the end. Though it was a difficult victory, Philadelphia managed to seal it. The Eagles would be instantly elevated to the status of a Super Bowl team once more if they were to sweep their season’s head-to-head slate.
A team experiences ups and downs, just like it does every season. Although Nick Sirianni and team have a talented roster, they still need to find consistency. Particularly in terms of confidence, a victory in Week 14 might be a significant step in that direction.
Make sure to tune in to watch the Eagles vs. Cowboys matchup in Week 14 on Sunday Night Football at 8:20 p.m. EST on NBC.
