Tottenham and West Ham enter £30m midfielder race as Man City in ‘very advanced’ defender talks
All of the latest Premier League transfer rumours, including Tottenham, West Ham, and Manchester City.
The 3AM Opinion: Riley has been playing fantastically lately, and his performance in the Champions League in particular has demonstrated that he can go up against the best players in Europe. At £30 million, he would be a record sale for Celtic, but as of right now, there’s no reason to believe he couldn’t justify that kind of cash.
In other news, West Ham is rumored to be interested in Manchester United attacker Anthony Martial. The Frenchman is apparently one of the players the Hammers are keeping an eye on as they attempt to boost their offensive squad before the January transfer market opens.
The 3AM Opinion: Riley’s play has been outstanding lately, and his results in the Champions League especially have shown that he can compete with the greatest players in Europe. He would constitute a record sale for Celtic at £30 million, but as of right now, there’s no reason to think he couldn’t justify that type of money.
In other news, Anthony Martial, a striker for Manchester United, is reportedly in the sights of West Ham. Prior to the January transfer window, the Hammers are rumored to be looking to bolster their offensive lineup, and the Frenchman is reportedly one of the players they are watching.
Famous writer Rudy Galetti reports that the Irons have already asked for “preliminary information” on the striker and might try to revive an interest that has been mentioned several times before. This season, Martial has had difficulty finding playing time at Old Trafford and has only played 221 minutes in the Premier League.
The 3AM Verdict: Although Martial needs a new beginning and West Ham needs a striker, the two aren’t necessarily a good fit. It’s true that the Irons could probably find someone better for less money, but the Frenchman’s recent injury history and overall lack of consistency are also causes for concern.
