Tottenham star Ivan Perisic provides encouraging injury update with three-word message

Tottenham news as the Croatian star continues to recover from his ACL injury picked up in September

Ivan Perisic, a star for Tottenham Hotspur, provided a positive update on his injury recuperation. In September, the Croatian player sustained a complicated injury to his right anterior cruciate ligament.

The injury was sustained during a workout before the club announced that surgery would be necessary. After making six appearances so far in 2023–24, Perisic is now expected to miss the majority of the season.

Yes, it is disappointing, especially for Ivan in the first place. One of those harmless things that occasionally occurs. During training, he suffered a fairly serious injury, according to Ange Postecoglou at the time.

“I’m disappointed for him because, even though I haven’t worked with him for very long, it’s clear why he has performed at some of the biggest venues in the world and has kept up his caliber of work for so long. In terms of his training and appearance, he is the consummate professional.

“And it’s disappointing for us because he’s been a really important part of what we’ve done so far. We don’t have a great experience in the group and he’s one that does have that level head and he’s been pretty significant in our games so far and in big moments.

“So like I said, disappointed for him and disappointed for us in terms of what we’re trying to build. He’s very

strong willed, and I have no doubt that he will return to the levels he demonstrated before his injury for both club and country.”

Now that Perisic’s injury has been officially confirmed for more than a month, the former Inter Milan star has given a quick update on social media. “#StepByStep,” a praying and walking emoji, and a video of him walking without crutches were posted on Instagram.

Given that Perisic’s contract expires at the end of the current campaign, his future in north London remains uncertain. But before the season ends, both teams will be hoping to welcome back the seasoned winger.
