“Excellent”: Micah Richards is astounded by the West Ham star today as development becomes apparent.

Micah Richards is amazed by Mohammed Kudus as a new development for West Ham United

Micah Richards gushed over Mohammed Kudus during the player’s first Premier League start for West Ham against Everton on Sunday, October 29.

Before the game (12:42 p.m.), the commentator appeared on Sky Sports and expressed his belief that the 23-year-old forward is “outstanding” and “brings something special” after making an impression in the few opportunities he has had at the London Stadium.

He went on to say that because the Ghanaian international is “not afraid” to pick up the ball in challenging situations and try to make things happen, he should get his first Premier League start.

“I think he’s fantastic,” Richards remarked. “I saw him a lot at Ajax; he’s a big-money player now.” His versatility as a player—he can play number 10 left or right—is something I appreciate, especially in the last part of the game.

“He just brings something exceptional moving ahead. I adore his left foot; it has a little bit of skill and confidence, and he doesn’t hesitate to go on the ball in challenging situations. He is worthy of his first start.

After patiently waiting since joining from Ajax in the summer, Kudus finally received his first start in the Premier League.

Having scored the equalizer against Newcastle United earlier this month, he has made an impression in the few league cameos he has had.

Throughout the summer, the Ghanaian attracted a lot of attention; nonetheless, he decided to sign with the Hammers in order to regularly play first-team football.

Where to put him in, considering Jarrod Bowen and Lucas Paqueta, is a challenge for David Moyes, since Michail Antonio is nearly a lock to start.

To increase his team’s offensive threat against Everton, the Irons manager chose to take a chance by substituting the attacker for midfielder Tomas Soucek.
