Trent Alexander-Arnold finally responded to James Maddison – the Liverpool man had perfect answer
James Maddison’s jab at Trent Alexander-Arnold on the Tottenham Hotspur vs. Liverpool replay has finally received a response, and Leicester City is now catching stray opinions in the discussion.
The effects of the Reds’ contentious loss at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium are still being felt over two weeks later. That is partially attributable to England team members getting together this week after much was said on social media beforehand.
After the Three Lions team gathered at St. George’s Park, Tottenham’s recent acquisition Maddison was the first to publicly criticize Alexander-Arnold on Instagram, tagging him in a story with the remark “still asking for a replay.”
This is undoubtedly in response to remarks made publicly by Jurgen Klopp, who said that, given the circumstances, his choice would be to contest the Premier League match again.
Online, a bogus picture of the Reds full-back’s Instagram reaction began circulating. After being questioned about his cheeky message, Maddison claimed it was “just a little banter.”
Alexander-Arnold was ultimately given his own platform by Channel 4 to respond, and he didn’t hold back when doing so.

Liverpool’s No. 66 responded, “Nah,” when asked if the conversation in the photo Maddison tweeted was indeed about the VAR gaffe. No, he was asking me for advice on how to show him how to take a free kick and place it in the top corner.
He said, “But, I told him I’d just show him the video of when I scored at Leicester last year and they got relegated, so…” before bursting out in a fit of hysterical laughing.
The goal in question was, of course, his dead ball strike that gave the Reds a 3-0 lead at the King Power Stadium in May of last year. A few weeks later, the Foxes and Maddison were both relegated from the top division. In the closing stages, Maddison also missed a critical penalty against Everton. Ouch.
