Nation’s media say 25-year-old Tottenham star just ‘demolishes his rivals’
Cristian Romero, a standout for Tottenham Hotspur, started yesterday night’s match between Argentina and Paraguay and excelled.
Yesterday, the World Champions defeated the Albirroja 1-0 to make it three wins in a row in their World Cup qualifying matches. Romero once more performed flawlessly.
Tottenham’s Cristian Romero earns praise from Argentine media
This season, Cristian Romero has excelled for both Tottenham and Argentina.
The 25-year-old is among the Premier League’s top defenders, and he appears to have reined in his rash tendencies.
Because of this, he has established himself as a steadfast center back for both club and country, and he is growing better each week.
Romero excelled in yesterday’s match against Paraguay. He occasionally had to take some chances, but he did it brilliantly and was one of the greatest players on the field.
TyC Sports in Argentina published their playing ratings after the win. We’ve already told you how they rated Alexis Mac Allister. Here’s what they said about Romero after giving him an 8/10 rating.
“The level of risk he assumes in each advance is as high as it is effective. It psychologically demolishes his rivals,” they wrote.
Spurs need to keep him fit
There is no disputing the fact that Cristian Romero is one of Tottenham’s top players.
They now lead the Premier League table in large part due to the Argentine, so losing him to injury would be the very last thing they could afford.
Romero’s fitness should be closely monitored by Ange Postecoglou and the team. Every week, he must be in good physical condition and available. If not, Eric Dier will have to enter, which is a significant decrease.
Tottenham may succeed if Romero stays healthy for the entire campaign.
