Ange Postecoglou says Tottenham have a seriously ‘exciting’ youngster in the ranks right now

With Liverpool the newest opponent to test his revamped squad, Ange Postecoglou leads his Tottenham team into another crucial game today.

This season, Postecoglou and Spurs have received a lot of praise for some outstanding performances. A number of players have risen up, and recent additions like Vicario and Micky van de Ven have performed admirably.

Destiny Udogie is another athlete who is investigating the situation. At left-back, the Italian is outperforming Postecoglou, and the Spurs manager has been extolling the virtues of his kid.

Postecoglou showers Destiny Udogie with praise

Postecoglou praised the effect Udogie had on things during his press conference yesterday.

“When I got the job, I looked at all the players who were on loan last year, and Destiny was one of them,” said the new employee. His profile caught my eye a lot. His physical qualities are exceptional, but he played a distinct brand of football because he was frequently utilized as an attacking wing-back. In a competitive league as a young man, he had a significant impact. Postecoglou referred to Serie A as a difficult league.

“He handled himself really well and it was one of those where as soon as we got him in I could see that he wants to improve every day. He’s got outstanding attributes and for a 20-year-old he’s already had some really big challenges defensively and he’s handled himself so well. When he has the ball and he runs forward he looks exciting. I’m really pleased to have him in the group.”

Real deal

When Spurs signed Destiny Udogie, there was a lot of anticipation, but supporters had to wait as he spent the entire year in Italy.

However, it is quite evident why Tottenham did exhibit that patience and sign him to a contract with the team.

Udogie has been outstanding since joining the team, and like Pedro Porro on the other side, he appears to be flying both in practice and during games.

Top full-backs can frequently result in teams having tremendous success, and Udogie is undoubtedly ensuring Tottenham has a significant danger in wide areas down the left.

Consistency will now be key for Udogie, who will be hoping to keep on improving under Ange and showing his class ahead of the Euros. That starts with today’s clash with Liverpool, where Udogie is nailed on to start.
