Major Jarrod Bowen new contract twist emerges

Jarrod Bowen, a star player for West Ham United, will have his contract with the team expire in the summer of 2025.

For almost £20 million, Jarrod Bowen moved from Hull City of the Championship to West Ham United in January 2020 (BBC).

The tenacious right winger has solidified his position as one of David Moyes’ most valuable players for the Hammers.

Since Declan Rice left the team in the summer, he has become our talisman. In light of this, recent reports that negotiations for a new contract broke off were quite alarming.

Recent weeks have seen Sean Whetstone make the claim that the 26-year-old’s future at West Ham is uncertain due to a standoff between the team and his agents.

That doesn’t seem to be the case at all now, though.

a significant new contract twist for Jarrod Bowen appears

With four goals and an assist in his first six games of the season, the West Ham forward has had a strong start to the 2023–24 campaign.

He has further underlined his huge importance to this team over the past couple of months. Now keeping him at the London Stadium for the long-term will be absolutely vital.

Sean Whetstone – a reporter with close links to Hammers owner David Sullivan – has now claimed that a new contract for the 26-year-old is expected to be concluded in the next couple of months.

Whetstone tweeted:

Now, it really is a case of what update from Whetstone do we believe?

I’m hoping that the second one has some real truth behind it, because Jarrod Bowen is so important to West Ham.

The Hammers are a better and far more dangerous team going forward when the 26-year-old is firing on all cylinders.

Getting Jarrod Bowen tied down to a new contract should be one of the main priorities for David Moyes over the next few months.

The former Hull City man seems to be more than happy at the London Stadium, and I reckon he’ll commit his long-term future to the club sooner rather than later.
