Report: After four years with West Ham, fan favourite could leave for nominal fee in January

Pablo Fornals could be gone from West Ham United in just over three month’s time.

El Sevillista claims that Sevilla had intended to move Pablo Fornals to Spain in the summer of 2024 on a free transfer from West Ham, but they are now able to do it during the January transfer window.

According to recent rumors, the 27-year-old will not exercise his option to extend his contract at the London Stadium by an additional 12 months.

Given that Hammers manager David Moyes has scarcely used him over the previous few months, it shouldn’t come as a surprise.

And it now appears that West Ham might lose the former Villarreal player sooner than first thought…

Pablo Fornals set for West Ham exit

The Spaniard might be on the verge of returning to Sevilla in his native country in January.

Sevilla would be permitted to negotiate a pre-contract with him in January if they intended to sign him on a free transfer in the summer.

However, they will have to pay the Hammers a price if they wish to sign him to the club in the winter.

Losing Pablo Fornals would be a great pity in my opinion because he is a popular fan favorite at West Ham.

The fact is that he will need to leave the London Stadium if Moyes doesn’t play him frequently if he wants to resurrect his career.

And I would not be surprised one little bit if the midfielder leaves the Hammers in January. Hopefully we will still be able to get a decent fee for him.
