‘Top class’: BBC pundit lauds ‘beautiful’ moment from Tottenham player v Burnley

Tottenham extended their stellar start to the Premier League season by thoroughly dominating Burnley tonight.

James Maddison once again excelled in the middle of the field, and Heung-Min Son scored three goals in all.

Of course, Son’s hat-trick was the highlight, and BBC pundit Fara Williams was correct to praise him for his efforts.

BBC pundit lauds Heung-Min Son goal for Tottenham at Burnley

Son’s opening goal of the day was the crucial one as it got Tottenham level at Turf Moor. The South Korean showed his class to beat the goalkeeper and Williams was full of admiration for the finish.

Williams reminded Burnley that this is what happens at the highest level while praising Son’s finish on the BBC’s live matchday coverage.

“That is the distinction between competing in the Championship and the Premier League. Burnley played highly open football last season, but at the expense of pitting their back-up defenders against each other, according to Williams.

Son made a stunning finish that is of the highest caliber.

Ange Postecoglou has given Son the captain’s armband, and he appears to be enjoying his new position.

Like a new player

Heung-Min Son has occasionally throughout the past few seasons appeared disgruntled and far from the player he once was.

Postecoglou, though, seems to have given the player a fresh lease on life, and he suddenly appears to be the guy that won the golden boot a few seasons ago.

It is now crucial for Son to maintain this form even after the international break. With Maddison as a real threat now, Tottenham has a great possibility of challenging for the top four if he succeeds.
