Nottingham Forest ‘reject’ £40m Tottenham approach as Arsenal transfer confirmed

As they strive to remain in the Premier League for a second straight season, Nottingham Forest has rejected a massive offer for one of their prized possessions.

With eight goals and three assists in the Premier League to help Nottingham Forest stay in the top division and get to the Carabao Cup semifinals, Brennan Johnson was one of the team’s best players last season.

He contributed significantly to his team’s promotion from the Championship the previous season, and he scored 16 league goals for the 2022 play-off champions.

The Welsh international, who is only 22 years old, appears certain to be a star for The Reds for many years to come, but Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham are also interested in signing him as they attempt to replace Harry Kane in the front line

While allegations from The Telegraph claim that a £40 million bid has been rejected for the winger, reports from Sky Sports indicate that Johnson is a priority target for the North London team.

The source also states that Tottenham is preparing to make an upgraded approach of about £50 million, so Nottingham Forest may have to fight late to hold onto their attacker.
