Report: Tottenham now getting closer and closer to signing ‘magnificent’ player, talks well underway

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly getting closer to signing Brennan Johnson from Nottingham Forest before Friday’s deadline.

The Times, a news source, asserts that negotiations between Forest and Spurs are progressing.

Following Harry Kane’s departure, Tottenham is intensifying their efforts to give Ange Postecoglou another attacking alternative.

Throughout the summer transfer window, Spurs have been associated with a wide range of players, but they appear to be prioritizing a move for Brennan Johnson.

Tottenham is prepared to speed up its pursuit of Johnson, according to a recent report in The Daily Mail.

And it appears that they are getting ever-closer to signing the 22-year-old to a contract with Nottingham Forest.

Tottenham getting closer to Johnson deal

According to The Times, an agreement on a £50 million contract to sign Johnson is nearing completion.

According to rumors, Johnson would rather move to North London and team up with Ange Postecoglou than sign with Brentford.

In fact, Forest is sure that Spurs will meet their demands for the Welsh forward, and as part of the agreement, players may relocate to the City Ground.

Davinson Sanchez is one of the players that might move to Forest to work with Steve Cooper in this regard.

Johnson was Forest’s top performance last season, helping to keep Cooper’s team in the Premier League.

The Welsh attacker contributed to 11 Premier League goals and appears to be a solid match for Postecoglou’s Spurs offense.

Johnson, a’magnificent’ player who has received praise, would be an interesting choice for Postecoglou at Tottenham.

The Forest player has demonstrated his ability to play in all three front positions and boasts traits that could let him flourish under the direction of the Australian manager.

But if he decides to go to North London, he will undoubtedly need to improve his final product.
