Joe Rodon admits to the Premier League and gives a clue about his future at Leeds United.

Joe Rodon has hinted he would like to remain at Leeds United beyond the expiry of his current loan deal.

After falling through the ranks at his parent club, Tottenham Hotspur, the defender signed a summer loan to play for the Whites. He became a fan favorite and rapidly established himself as an important piece in Daniel Farke’s Leeds team.

Supporters will understandably be wary, though, given Leeds’ history of failing to hold onto top loanees. Rodon’s loan agreement expires at the end of the current season, but he has made it clear that he wants to stay in West Yorkshire.

Along with his teammates from Leeds and Wales, Ethan Ampadu, Connor Roberts, and Daniel James, he recently chatted with Sgorio. “Just playing is what everyone wants, of course, but I think all of us together, I think it would be a really nice kind of journey if we did get there [the Premier League],” he said in response to the question of what had clicked for him at Leeds. All of the trips we’ve taken have brought us to this point.

“I just believe that all of us playing together in the Premier League would be fantastic for the group as a whole.”

This season, Rodon has made 35 appearances for Leeds in all competitions, helping the team become a legitimate contender for promotion from the Championship.

Ampadu, Pascal Struijk’s international teammate, has become his partner in the center of defense since the latter’s injury.

When Leeds travels to Huddersfield Town today, March 2, a short trip across West Yorkshire, the two seem certain to start together again.
