Sanchez’s failed penalty in Tuesday’s Carabao Cup second-round match against Fulham appears to be his last shot in a Tottenham jersey, as the center-back is largely expected to leave the club before Friday night’s transfer deadline.

The 27-year-old has been mentioned repeatedly over the past 24 hours in various publications as a potential makeweight in a deal to bring in Brennan Johnson from Nottingham Forest, according to the Times.

Monaco now make advances to sign Sanchez

Di Marzio claims that Monaco is currently ‘trying’ to sign Sanchez before the transfer window closes on social media.

The journalist disclosed that the agent for the former Ajax player is currently in London to discuss a transfer for his client.

The ambition of Monaco to sign Sanchez may also affect Tottenham’s alleged pursuit of Tosin Adarabioyo, according to several recent reports that placed Monaco as the favorite to sign the Fulham star before Spurs (Daily Mail).

It seems like there is now finally some movement on the futures of Sanchez, Dier, Ndombele and Hojbjerg. However, as things stand, there are not too many indications that Reguilon and Lloris are close to sealing a move away from Spurs. 

The club certainly have their work cut out in getting the aforementioned players out of the door and bringing a couple in before tomorrow night’s deadline.

“I’m still close to some of the members of staff and I spoke to them last season and whenever I would speak to them on the phone I got the sense that it was a little bit difficult there.

“I spoke to the same guy on Saturday after they played Bournemouth and it was just miles away from where the team were and how he was speaking last season and it was nice to hear.”

This will surely be comforting news for Spurs fans who have so much to be excited about in this new era.

Rose is hearing all the right noises about Postecoglou’s Tottenham

All the accolades for Postecoglou’s team must, of course, be accompanied by accomplishments.

In addition, Tottenham’s early cup departure will be disappointing despite their strong league start.

The EFL Cup was a great chance for Spurs to win silverware this season if they had any goals of doing so.

The positive vibe Rose mentioned will only last so long; Postecoglou’s Tottenham must play attractive football in order to be successful.

Of course, Spurs will still have many of opportunities this year to succeed and demonstrate the effectiveness of their new style of play.

And it would be unexpected if Rose one day discussed the potential demise of Postecoglou’s Tottenham, given that is currently an improbable scenario.
