For Tottenham’s Carabao Cup second round matchup against Fulham on Tuesday night, Ange Postecoglou has changed up his lineup. The Australian has led his squad to seven of a possible nine points in the Premier League thus far, and he will aim to continue this strong start to life at Spurs by leading his group into the third round of the cup competition.

After admitting he would make nine changes to his starting XI following Saturday’s victory at Bournemouth, players like Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Giovani Lo Celso, and Ivan Perisic have all been inserted into the lineup. As a result, players like Cristian Romero, James Maddison, and Son Heung-min have been given a break on the sidelines.

Postecoglou’s Spurs defense is led by captain Ben Davies and includes Emerson Royal, Davinson Sanchez, Micky van de Ven, and Fraser Forster in goal. His attacking line-up consists of Richarlison, Manor Solomon, Oliver Skipp, and Lo Celso, with Manor Solomon and Perisic beginning on either side of him.

Ahead of the match in west London, the 58-year-old told football.london that he is expecting a tough challenge against Marco Silva’s men.

“Mate, I’m not sure. To be truthful, I haven’t had much success with draws over my entire career. I kind I anticipate them being difficult ones. But that’s okay, it’s a nice test for us,” he responded when questioned about playing a Premier League team in the second round.

There is a group of players who are prepared to play, as I previously stated. They’ve been practicing hard, so this is a fantastic chance to put them in action. Since it’s a cup match, we know we have to go there and prevail. We’ll make an effort to do that.

Tottenham’s lineup to take against Fulham is as follows:

Forster, Emerson, Sanchez, Van de Ven, Davies, Hojbjerg, Skipp, Lo Celso, Solomon, Richarlison, and Perisic make up Tottenham’s starting lineup.

Vicario, Romero, Udogie, Bissouma, Maddison, Sarr, Kulusevski, Son, Scarlett all available as substitutes.
