While appearing on The View in February 2024, Jon Cryer addressed rumors of a reboot, particularly after showrunner Chuck Lorre reconciled with Charlie Sheen. Despite expressing happiness for Sheen’s improved situation, Cryer candidly said:

“I don’t know if I want to get in business with him for any length of time.”

Heplaced this in context, noting Sheen’s $1.8 million-per-episode salary during the original run—and how that success was ultimately undermined by Sheen’s tumultuous behavior:

“Charlie was the highest‑paid actor in television, probably ever… And yet, he blew it up.”
