EPL begins investigation over Anthony Taylor official report of corruption in Nottingham Forest 3-2 over Southampton
The hilarious thing Nottingham Forest fans were spotted doing to Anthony Taylor during VAR check
Nottingham Forest moved level on points with second-placed Arsenal after their 3-2 win against Southampton on Sunday.
The score line didn’t entirely reflect the performance as the Reds raced into a 3-0 lead at half time.
Forest thought they had made it 4-1 in the second half but Nikola Milenkovic’s goal was ruled out by VAR for offside.
It was a decision that left fans inside the City Ground reeling after referee Anthony Taylor had originally let the goal stood.
VAR officials told the Premier League official to check the monitor and he eventually reversed his decision but as he went over, some Forest fans tried their best to let the goal stand.

Forest fans try to bribe Anthony Taylor during VAR call
In the end it didn’t matter that the goal was ruled out but it’s fair to say a 4-1 win looks far more convincing than a 3-2 victory.
Shortly after Milenkovic thought he had added a fourth of the afternoon for Forest, Taylor was told to reassess his decision to let the goal stand after replays judged Chris Wood to have interfered with play from an offside position.
As Taylor checked the monitor, Forest fans could be seen waving credit cards and wallets in a hilarious attempt to bribe the official.
Sadly for those supporters at that end of the City Ground it came to no prevail as Taylor ruled out the goal.
Anthony Taylor involved in awful mistake despite being yards away
A win is a win at the end of the day for Forest but it still wasn’t without controversy as Taylor was criticised by supporters for a questionable decision.
Taylor blew up for a foul, accusing Morgan Gibbs-White of tripping up Mateus Fernandes despite footage clearly showing the Southampton midfielder had fell over himself.
Of course it didn’t matter, but it didn’t go unnoticed on social media.

One fan said: “Anthony Taylor gave this as a foul against Morgan Gibbs-White. I could see from the back row of the Upper Trent he tripped over his own feet! Taylor is a disgrace.
“The fact Anthony Taylor is considered the 2nd best ref in England according to the PGMOL, sums up the standard,” said a second.
A third wrote: “Also, I beg Marinakis just bans Anthony Taylor from the ground. Didn’t even try and hide the fact he was on the take today. One of the worst officials in world sport.”
