Kaizer Chiefs – Full list: SIX players heading out! – UPDATED
As many as SIX Kaizer Chiefs players are currently linked with exits out of Naturena.
Meanwhile, they are joined by another THREE Amakhosi players who are also likely heading out of Naturena this January.
FULL LIST OF LIKELY CHIEFS EXITS
- Aden McCarthy
- Zitha Kwinika
- Thatayaone Ditlhokwe
- Mduduzi Mdantsane
- George Matlou
- Christian Saille
McCarthy is likely to loaned out with Amakhosi management keen to keep him as a player. However, he does not fit into Nasreddine Nabi’s current plans. Therefore, a loan move is on the cards.
Furthermore, Kwinika and Mdantsane are both linked with moves to AmaZulu, according to SNL.
Both men have struggled for playing time under Nabi. Moreover, this is unlikely to change given their current place in the Chiefs pecking order. So, a move to Usuthu could benefit both mens careers as they are more likely to play more regularly for the eThekwini-based outfit than for Amakhosi.
Additionally, Matlou, like Mdantsane, finds himself behind Yusuf Maart, Sibongiseni Mthethwa, Edson Castillo and Samkelo Zwane in the midfield pecking order. He is yet again linked with an exit.
PSL FOREIGN QUOTA TO FORCE AMAKHOSI PLAYER DEPARTURE
The PSL’s foreign quota stipulates that each team is only allowed five foreign players.
Fiacre Ntwari (Rwanda), Inacio Miguel (Angola), Thatayaone Ditlhokwe (Botswana), Edson Castillo (Venezuela) and Christian Saile (Congo) occupy these spots.
However, Chiefs currently have six foreign players involved in their set up with Edmilson Dove set to return. This means that one of the aforementioned stars will have to leave.
As things stand, Dihtlokwe, Dove and Saile are all linked with exits. Saile is linked with a move to PSL rivals. Whilst, Chiefs have informed Dove that they will be parting ways. Finally, Ditlhokwe faces a likely exit out of Naturena as well.

AmaZulu closing in
According to reports, Kaizer Chiefs duo Mduduzi Mdantsane and Zitha Kwinika have AmaZulu enquiring about their services but will need to fork out around R20 million for the AmaKhosi pair.
Neither has featured this season, meaning a move to uSuthu appears likely.
“There was a meeting just like after every game to analyse what went wrong against Golden Arrows but the issue of the coach (Nabi) was then discussed,” SoccerLaduma report.
“Yes, there were two groups of minds. One saying they should give him games to prove himself before the end of the season and if he fails in those games then they part ways.
