Sad News: Georgia bulldogs key player die in a Car Crash……

The Georgia Bulldogs have an advantage when it comes to NIL (name, image, and likeness) that no program in the SEC can touch.

NIL, of course, is a driving factor in where high school recruits/transfers land. Often, the teams that spent the most money land the most talent. And the teams with the most talent are the ones that usually play deep into December/January.

Georgia, however, doesn’t have to overspend (in most cases) to land elite talent.

The Bulldogs, thanks to their reputation for winning championships under Kirby Smart, can be a bit more judicious in how they spent their NIL funds.

On3 recently spoke to several collectives from Power-4 conferences and it was revealed that Georgia is one of the “smartest spenders” because they don’t have to overpay for recruits/transfers.

“A school like Georgia has the history where they can pay a little less,” said an SEC collective to On3.

Georgia is pretty good with how they spend money. Kirby [Smart] is still able to play off the cache that is Georgia,” added an ACC collective.

“It’s rare that they ever overspend. When these kids were growing up, Georgia was the program.

Georgia is still probably the safest bet in college football if I want to play in meaningful games.”

“Georgia got some guys for a steal,” noted another SEC collective. “Kirby really leaned into some old-school stuff in getting guys to come at a discount.”
