Six Kaizer Chiefs players are out of contract in June. it remains to be seen if the players will be offered new deals in the coming weeks.
Kaizer Chiefs are risking of losing some of their players for free at the end of the season.
Amakhosi have six players whose contract expire at the end of the current season. Many of these players have not featured much under Nasreddine Nabi. Since the coach’s arrival, Chiefs have shown improvement this campaign bringing in a total of 10 players.
Here are the six players that could leave Kaizer Chiefs at the end of the season if their contracts are not renewed.
Reeve Frosler
The 27-year-old has been in and out of the team with Nasreddine Nabi opting to play Njabulo Blom at right-back. With Dillan Solomons injured, Frosler has a few matches to impress the Tunisian coach.
George Matlou
Matlou is one of the Kaizer Chiefs players who started the season injured. He returned to ompetitive football last month and he quickly established himself as a regular impressing Nabi and his bench. He is more likely to stay with the club next seasos.
Edmilson Dove
The Mozambican international is likely to face exit having yet to feature this season. Dove was injured during pre-season and never really had a chance to impress.

Edson Castillo
The Venezuela international was preferred in the middle by the Tunisian mentor unfortunately a long-term injury saw him out on the sidelines. He has began light training and might be ready in March.
Yusuf Maart
Maart has been used as an impact player from the bench lately. He is one of the Kaizer Chiefs players whose contract expires in June and despite being a captain, his place in the squad is not secured. He might be playing his football elsewhere next season.
Ranga Chivaviro
Ranga has been Nabi’s favourite even during pre-season. If there’s one Chiefs player who is set to renew his contract, it’s definitely the former Marumo Gallants star.
Kaizer Chiefs are in action on Tuesday against AmaZulu and it will be interesting to see how their players react after the Soweto Derby defeat.
