Another deal done: Players accepts personal terms with Tottenham
France international ready to join Tottenham ‘this month’Featured Image
Struggling Tottenham Hotspur face high-flying Liverpool in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final on Wednesday.
The Lilywhites have endured a difficult season so far and currently occupy 12th place in the Premier League table having lost ten of their 20 games so far, most recently losing 2-1 against Newcastle United on Saturday.
The Reds, meanwhile, go into Wednesday’s first leg off the back of a 2-2 draw against Manchester United at Anfield.
Arne Slot’s side do, however, sit top of both the Premier League and Champions League tables.
Off the pitch the January transfer window is now in full swing, and it appears that Tottenham may have been handed a huge boost in their pursuit of a France international.
According to GiveMeSport, Spurs target Randal Kolo Muani is open to the idea of completing a loan move to North London this month.
The report claims that, after initial talks, the Paris Saint-Germain forward has indicated that he would be willing to join Tottenham on loan before the current transfer window shuts.
Kolo Muani has scored eight goals in 27 matches for France
Kolo Muani, 26, joined PSG from German side Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2023 and has since scored 11 goals in 54 matches across all competitions for the French side.
It is also claimed that Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou is pushing those in charge of the club to agree a deal for the Frenchman, as other clubs are interested in him and could attempt to lure him away from Paris.
Despite costing PSG a fee in the region of £77 million just 18 months ago, Kolo Muani has started just two of the reigning champions’ Ligue 1 matches so far this term and is therefore keen to move on in an effort to secure more regular game time.
The report also claims that Tottenham would be willing to include an option-to-buy clause in a loan deal for the player, which could put them ahead of Italian side Juventus in the race for his signature as the Serie A side are solely looking to agree a short-term deal.
