Diano Olmo to Tottenham transfer stance as Barcelona decision made

Tottenham target Dani Olmo wants to stay at Barcelona, despite the fact he is not registered with the Spanish club. The Spaniard only joined Barca for £50million from RB Leipzig in the summer.
However, the Catalans’ dire financial situation means they could only register him – and young forward Pau Victor – for the first half of the season. Barca are working under tight financial constraints implemented by La Liga after demonstrating a whopping £1billion in debt.
League officials gave Barcelona special dispensation to add Olmo to their squad until December 31. But they have rejected Barca’s attempts to register him for the remainder of the campaign. Olmo, 25, is said to have a clause in his contract that allows him to depart if he is unable to play.
But, according to football.london, Olmo is not keen on a move to Tottenham and he is hoping to stay at Barcelona beyond the January transfer window. Although Olmo cannot play for Barca right now, he is keen to stick put in Catalonia and see if a resolution can be found.
Last week, his agent Andy Bara told Fabrizio Romano that Olmo is intent on staying at Barca despite arriving in Manchester. He said: “The decision made by Dani is to STAY at Barcelona as he wants play for Barca. We are NOT considering any other option. Dani wants to play for Barcelona.”
If Olmo does move to Tottenham in January, he would add an extra dimension to their forward line. He has played as either the central attacking midfielder or the left winger at Barcelona this season and can also play as the centre forward or on the right-hand side.

‘Barcelona should have complied with the rules’ – RFEF source reacts to Dani Olmo saga
it’s not looking good for the Catalans

Barcelona have reportedly been told by the RFEF that their request to register Dani Olmo and Pau Victor is not going to happen and that the club should have followed the rules.
The Catalans announced on Tuesday that they had applied to the RFEF for new licences for both players in a bid to allow them to play in the second half of the season.
“La Liga’s decision will be respected and Barcelona’s request for Dani Olmo and Pau Victor will not be met,” sources told the newspaper.
“After all the effort it has taken to re-establish relations with LaLiga, not all bridges can be blown up due to an issue that, furthermore, is regulated. It is Barça that should have complied with the rules.”
Elsewhere, it’s been reported that Barca are still hopeful of being able to register both players this winter, but the latest updates do not sound optimistic at all.
