It’s Been Quite a year Springboks Rugby Stars Welcomed Bundles of Joy in 2024

It’s been quite the year for South Africa’s national rugby team, the Springboks.

When the players weren’t winning on the field, they were winning in real life, tying the knot and welcoming babies into the world.

In fact, quite a few players welcomed little ones this year, making it a fruitful one indeed.

Eben and Anlia Etzebeth

The Etzebeths started their year off on an adorable note after welcoming a bouncing baby girl in January.

Heading online, Eben’s wife, Anlia, broke the news with a heartwarming Instagram post sharing their little one was born on the 16 January.

“16.01.24. No words will ever be able to describe the feeling. Thank you Lord,” wrote Anlia in Afrikaans.

Faf and Mine de Klerk

Following closely, the Springboks’ most mischievous player, Faf de Klerk, and his wife, Mine, welcomed a daughter named Remi-Re just one month later.

Taking to Instagram, Mine declared her love for little Remi, who is also the couple’s first child.

Handre and Marise Pollard

Little Hunter Pollard was born to Handre and Marise in April this year and has been the light of their lives ever since.

In October this year, Marise headed online to celebrate the little guy’s six-month milestone with an adorable post.

Bongi and Anastacia Mbonambi

In August this year, the couple welcomed their second child together, a little girl, who according to Anastacia, looks just like her dad.

“Another girl that looks just like her dad. Have to wait five years again before you see mom’s features come through. She’s too adorable, though,” she wrote in an adorable Instagram post a few weeks ago.

Salmaan and Haanim Moerat

In October this year, the Moerats welcomed a “miracle” baby boy into the world.

Taking to Instagram, Haanim shared an adorable image of the baby’s little feet and a detailed explanation of his name, Yahya.

The post reads, “Named after Yahya A.S., a special child. A miracle granted to his [A.S.] parents when hopes of having a child seemed impossible. Yet through the power of Allah SWT, he came into this world with a destiny of greatness. As well as a symbol of unity between all three Abrahamic faiths.”

Malcolm and Kirsten Marx

In June this year, Malcolm and Kirsten welcomed their second child, a little boy named Jake.

“Jake Justin Marx 06.06.2024. 3kgs, 53cm. Welcome to the world son,” the player wrote in a heartwarming Instagram post.
