Kaizer cheifs about to make a drastic mistake that will lead them to a poor season
Kaizer Chiefs eyeing superstar to replace Gaston Sirino!
Kaizer Chiefs are hoping to lure several stars this January transfer window.
Replacing an experienced midfielder with another will be, alongside signing a striker, Kaizer Chiefs top priority in the summer window, and that’s where Salum comes into the picture.
The Azam FC playmaker will reportedly cost around R13 million but will have to be lured with a substantial salary of no less than R220,000 per week.
What’s happening with Sirino?
“You see with the Sirino story it is a bit tricky. Management is supporting him. And actually, that’s where the problem is. The coach didn’t recommend his signing. He was signed by management with recommendations from scouts and agents. At the moment he is one of the team’s best players and he has to play. But if the coach had another player who plays in that position then he would be using that player and not Sirino. As for the indiscipline – he is not (a troublemaker). He is a senior player and he leads by example and management likes and supports him,” a Soccer Laduma source confirmed.
Unfortunately for Kaizer Chiefs, Sirino has been one of, if not their best player this season, meaning finding a suitable replacement for the 33-year-old is crucial. Otherwise, they could face another poor season in the books.

Betway Premiership – Kaizer Chiefs vs TS Galaxy
Kaizer Chiefs will look to get their season back on track when they take on TS Galaxy in their penultimate Betway Premiership clash of the year on Monday, 16 December.
It’s been another season – and year in fact – to forget for Kaizer Chiefs’ long-suffering supporters.
Despite the early promise of good times under new coach Nasreddine Nabi, Amakhosi find themselves in the bottom half of the Betway Premiership standings heading into the New Year.
As things currently stand, the Glamour Boys would miss out on qualifying for next season’s MTN8 – as they did this season.
Well adrift of rivals Orland Pirates
After eight matches, Kaizer Chiefs are down in ninth place in the 16-team league with 11 points.
The Soweto giants are closer to the bottom of the log (six points) than they are to log leaders and defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns (10 points).
Perhaps most painful of all, Kaizer Chiefs are 10 points adrift of bitter rivals Orlando Pirates.
The Glamour Boys have won three matches, lost three and drawn two to date.
Worryingly, they have only found the back of the net on 12 occasions, but have conceded the same number.
NO team has conceded as many goals as Kaizer Chiefs this season.
Following their clash on Monday, Amakhosi will wrap up their 2024 commitments at home against Chippa United on Sunday, 29 December.
