West Ham ‘want to steal’ player from club – Insistence Hammers could offer €35m for signing
According to Tutto Juve, West Ham United has joined a number of teams vying for Georgiy Sudakov of Shakhtar Donetsk.
The 21-year-old was promoted to the first team of the Ukrainian club in 2020 after entering its academy in 2017. He has played in 81 games, mostly as an attacking midfielder but also occasionally in the middle of the pitch. In those 81 games, he has 13 goals and 13 assists.
Juventus and West Ham are among the teams that have taken notice of him due to his potential and growth.
Although the Serie A team and the Hammers are reportedly interested in signing the young talent, they are not the only teams after him.
According to the report, a few other Premier League teams, including Barcelona and Bayern Munich, are also involved.
Even so, it appears that the Old Lady is leery of David Moyes’ side because they “want to steal” the Ukraine international. According to the report, the English club might offer a fee of about €35 million to do that.
Although Sudakov’s contract expires in 2028, it’s unclear if Shakhtar would be persuaded to part ways with him by the rumored €35 million price.

Following his most recent performance for his nation, a West Ham United international has received praise from the domestic media.
With injuries to Mohammed Kudus, Jarrod Bowen, and Michail Antonio, West Ham has had an extremely difficult international break.
David Moyes, the manager of the Hammers, would have been furious given how many important players have been sidelined at such a pivotal point in the season.
Apart from the fitness issues, Vladimir Coufal was also excluded from the Czech Republic team due to his violation of team regulations.
But for Tomas Soucek, one of our guys in particular, it was a great international break.
The 28-year-old, who served as his nation’s captain and led his team to EURO 2024 qualification, scored two goals and caused a serious facial injury during the match against Poland.
And the national media in his country has praised him greatly for his efforts.
West Ham international lauded
The former Slavia Prague man has been back amongst the goals for the Hammers this season, and he has for his country as well.
Although Soucek is frequently criticized by some West Ham supporters, his dedication and work ethic are unquestionable.
Following his matches against Poland and Moldova, the midfield player was highly praised by the Czech media site Idnes.
The publication praised Soucek highly, saying:
“He may not exude true football beauty, but he is a hard worker, obstinate, leaps for shots, battles through endless duels, and would sacrifice his soul for the game.”
To me, that sounds just like big Tom. Whether he’s representing his country or the Hammers, he bleeds for the cause.
It’s safe to say that he brings us so much defensively, aerially, and from a leadership standpoint as well, in spite of the amount of criticism he receives.
The West Ham player is obviously highly valued on the international scene, and I believe he should be treated with greater dignity at the club level as well.
Although I have harshly criticized Soucek in the past, I now acknowledge that my criticism may have been a little unfair. Although he isn’t the greatest football player in the world, few can match his level of enthusiasm and effort.
