DHL Stormers Unveil Stacked 2025/26 Squad with Major Firepower Across the Park

The DHL Stormers have officially revealed their full squad for the 2025/26 season, and it’s nothing short of blockbuster. With a balanced blend of experience, raw power, speed, and exciting new talent, the Cape Town-based franchise looks primed to challenge for silverware both domestically and in Europe.

In the forwards, the list features battle-hardened Springboks such as Frans Malherbe, Deon Fourie, Scarra Ntubeni, Evan Roos, and Salmaan Moerat, who bring immense experience and leadership to the front. They are joined by young guns and new recruits like Ntuthuko Mchunu, Ruan Ackermann, Connor Evans, and Paul de Villiers, who offer energy, mobility, and fresh intensity to the pack.

Notably, the inclusion of Ruan Ackermann, who has made a name for himself in the English Premiership with Gloucester, marks a major coup. Meanwhile, JD Schickerling and Ruben van Heerden strengthen the engine room, ensuring depth in the second row. The Stormers now boast a terrifyingly deep front-row roster with names like Neethling Fouché, Ali Vermaak, Louw Nel, and Sazi Sandi.

On the backs list, there’s no shortage of flair and versatility. Damian Willemse, Warrick Gelant, and Ruhan Nel headline the returning stars, while fan-favorites Leolin Zas, Seabelo Senatla, and Courtnall Skosan offer pace and finishing ability out wide. The halfback department is well-stacked with the likes of Dewaldt Duvenage, Stefan Ungerer, and rising stars Imad Khan and JC Mars.

Exciting utility backs such as Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu, Suleiman Hartzenberg, and Wandisile Simelane add to the creative arsenal. And with Cobus Reinach returning to South African rugby, the Stormers now possess world-class experience at scrumhalf.

The blend of youth and experience, local development, and smart acquisitions means the Stormers are shaping up to be serious contenders in the 2025/26 season. With a squad this deep and dynamic, Cape Town fans can expect fireworks at DHL Stadium.
