Stormers Eye Hard-Hitting South African Powerhouse in Bold Move

Stormers target saffa bruiser
The Stormers are reportedly eyeing a UK-based South African loose forward to bolster their back-row options with experience and versatility next season.
The 29-year-old Ackermann, son of former Lions boss Johan, is set to leave the English Premiership club after eight seasons and more than 170 appearances.
While he hasn’t confirmed his next move, Ruan recently told BBC Sport: “There was a mutual feeling between me and the club that I had to say goodbye. The club’s ambitions and mine have changed a bit.”
The Stormers, meanwhile, have lost Dave Ewers (retirement), and Willie Engelbrecht (Pumas), while the future of five-cap Springbok Ben-Jason Dixon is tenuous due to arbitration proceedings.
According to Netwerk24, Junior Springbok star Divan Fuller is sidelined for eight months with a hip injury.
Marcel Theunissen impressed in the Stormers No 7 jersey this season, and Louw Nel is highly rated, but Ackermann’s ability to also play lock will add to his appeal for Dobson.
