“Future Springbok? Lions Snatch Up Schoolboy Rugby Phenom in Shocking Move.

The Lions snap up schoolboy star
The Lions have secured the services of one of South Africa’s most sought after schoolboys
Grey College outside centre Ethan Adams will swap Bloem for the Big Smoke when matriculating later this year.
Adams, who hails from Kareedouw in the Eastern Cape, played for Free State in last year’s U18 Craven Week and was selected for the SA Schools team.
While he was seen chatting with Jake White at a Bulls training session earlier this year, it’s the Lions who got a deal done.
The South African Lions have secured the signature of Ethan Adams, a standout centre from Grey College, one of the country’s premier rugby schools. Adams has been a dominant force in schoolboy rugby over the past four years, earning widespread acclaim for his powerful running, defensive prowess, and game intelligence.
This acquisition is part of the Lions’ broader strategy to invest in young talent. Earlier this year, they also signed Mahle Sithole, a hooker from Durban High School and SA Schools representative.
Adams’ move to the Lions is seen as a significant boost to their midfield options, and he is expected to transition smoothly into professional rugby given his experience and skill set.
