Confirmed: NHRA Drag Racing Brings Back Jack Beckman for 2025 Season

In a significant development for the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA), John Force Racing (JFR) has confirmed that Jack Beckman will return as the full-time driver of the PEAK Antifreeze and Coolant Chevrolet SS Funny Car for the 2025 Mission Foods Drag Racing Series. Beckman, a former Funny Car world champion, had previously stepped in as a substitute driver following John Force’s severe crash in June 2024. His performance during the latter part of the 2024 season has earned him a permanent seat for the upcoming year .

Force, a 16-time Funny Car champion and one of the most iconic figures in drag racing, continues his recovery from a traumatic brain injury sustained during the high-speed crash. While he remains under medical care, Force has shown significant improvement and is actively involved in supporting his team. He attended the 2024 NHRA Nevada Nationals in Las Vegas, expressing his gratitude towards fans and sponsors for their unwavering support.

Beckman’s return to a full-time schedule marks his first since 2020. During his brief tenure with JFR in 2024, he secured two event wins and finished second in the championship standings. His consistent performance and leadership have been instrumental in maintaining the team’s competitive edge during Force’s absence .
