Alabama Labaron Philon Set Return College basketball

A return to college basketball might not be completely out of the question for Labaron Philon.
Philon joined “The SchuZ Show” Monday and was asked if there’s “even a chance“ he could go back to Alabama and “is that on the table?”
“I would say 100% draft, but you know, things can change,” Philon said. “You never know. But I would say I love ‘Bama. The whole program, the school, the state. It was all love when I was playing there. I never received any hatred or nothing like that. Walking around school and just being a regular kid again was mostly the most fun part for me. I’ll never take that for granted. But I’m all in on the draft right now because I feel like I want to be a pro. You never know what can happen. We’ll just have to wait and see.”
Does Philon still have eligibility open if he wants to return to college?
“I would say yeah, kind of, but like I said I’m 100% on the draft” Philon said.
Philon declared for the NBA Draft in mid-April but did not indicate publicly he was maintaining his college eligibility.
“Ever since I was little in Mobile, my dream has always been to play in the NBA, and I am excited to pursue that goal by officially declaring for the 2025 NBA Draft,” Philon wrote on Instagram when he declared. “I cannot wait to start the next chapter of my life.”
Philon’s best game was against Kentucky in the SEC Tournament when he scored 21 points, grabbed three rebounds, tallied four assists and three steals.
Philon, a Mobile native, was Mr. Basketball after the 2022-23 season with Baker. That year he averaged 35 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.6 steals.
