Sad – Isaiah Bond’s Alabama Comments Resurface to Haunt Him After Going Undrafted

Texas Longhorns wide receiver Isaiah Bond was a player talked about a lot throughout the process leading up to the 2025 NFL draft. After transferring to Texas from the Alabama Crimson Tide, he was making the move to improve his draft stock.
Due to some off-the-field issues, Bond was not drafted at all. He still has not been signed as an undrafted free agent either.
Prior to the draft, Bond had a warrant issued for sexual assault allegations and turned himself in to the Frisco, Texas police. Nothing has come from the case yet, but teams did not use a pick on him.
His comments from his decision to leave Alabama have resurfaced since he went undrafted.
“Just like the business world, you make the best decision for your company,” Bond said at the time. “My company right now is my draft stock. I feel like I’m putting myself in position to increase that and have better draft stock.”
“Isaiah Bond told ESPN a year ago that he was leaving Alabama to improve his draft stock,” the post read. “He went undrafted.”
With the Longhorns during the 2024 college football season, Bond caught 34 passes for 540 yards and five scores. Prior to the allegations, he was expected to be drafted in the first few rounds.
At this point in time, there is no clarity on what the future holds for Bond. Teams seem to be waiting for more answers to come from his case. For now, he remains an undrafted free agent.
