Good news: Three Tottenham players return date announced

Tottenham attacker Richarlison is not expected to be out of his injury cycle until the end of the season, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that it is difficult for him to be chasing health in the middle of a campaign with games coming thick and fast.

The Brazil international’s last game for Spurs was the 4-0 defeat against Liverpool on 6 February.

Ange Postecoglou not expected to have Richarlison back for a few more weeks

It’s already been three weeks that the 27-year-old has been out of action with a calf injury, and he appears likely to be out for a few more weeks.

Even before this setback, the former Everton man has faced other issues with his fitness this season.

Discussing the state of play with Richarlison exclusively with Tottenham News, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, shared his verdict.

“This one is calf-related and it’s one that’s going to keep him out for a few weeks,” he said.

“Based on his recent injuries and where we are in the season, I wouldn’t expect him to get out of this cycle until the season ends and he has the needed time to really build up his fitness and health.

“It’s really difficult to be chasing health in the middle of a season.“

Timo Werner must now step up for Tottenham

Given Dr Brar’s assessment, Richarlison is not likely to be at 100 per cent until the end of the season, which means somebody needs to step up to the plate.

Timo Werner, someone who has been underperforming since his move to North London, has the chance to silence his critics.

The 28-year-old has played 17 times in the Premier League this season but is yet to find the back of the net.

While he may have three assists, these are far from good numbers for an attacker who was tearing defences apart for fun in Germany not too long ago.

Postecoglou certainly will be hoping that the former RB Leipzig forward can get back to his best and end the season well.
