Not Again! Full list of Springboks players currently contending with serious injuries.
There are several Springboks currently contending with concerning injuries. Here is the full list of players on the sidelines.
Most Springbok players have not had much of a break since wrapping up the 2024 end-of-year tour, with several national stars heading straight into action in the URC and Champions Cup.
After a taxing season, there has understandably been an accumulation of injuries, and there will be some concern over a few long-term injuries.
The latest Springbok player to be added to this list includes Elrigh Louw, who suffered a gruesome knee injury during a tackle from fellow Bok Ruan Venter.
Taking to his social media this week, Louw gave an update on his condition on social media, posting “Long and uncertain road ahead, but I WILL be back”.
Fellow loose forward Pieter-Steph du Toit is in a race to be fit in time for the start of the international season, while another forward, Steven Kitshoff, still faces uncertainty over whether he will be able to return to the rugby field due to a serious neck injury
